Description
On our 360 acres we have walking trails, two ponds, canoes, a playground and two cabins for rent. Each cabin has beautiful forest views. Dogs OK. Ripley Hill Cabin sleeps 8 in 2 bedrooms, a sleeping porch, and sofabed in the main room. It has a full kitchen and bathroom. Sit and swing on the screened porch on a hill above the swimming pond.
Cold Spring Cabin sleeps 4, in 1 bedroom and a sleeping porch. There is also a day bed in the main room. It has a full kitchen and an indoor bathroom with a claw-foot tub, sink and toilet. The bathroom is off off the bedroom. Also a private, outdoor shower. Relax in the tub with a view of Mt.Ascutney.
Please note, there is no electricity or WiFi at the cabins. Everything is gas, wood, solar, or hand powered.
Ripley Hill and Cold Spring are close together, but out of sight from each other. Rent them together for larger groups or family reunions. Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, hot and cold running water, indoor bathroom, and overhead LP gas lamps. Bring your own bed linens, blankets, towels and food. The Farm Pond offers a refreshing ‘dip’ to cool off. A hike from each cabin leads to Tiny Pond, an unspoiled lake where a canoe, kayak and raft are available for your use. Swimming, sunning, fishing, or exploring the lake shore provide days of excitement or tranquility, or some of each! Hiking trails are on the property. In addition to local trails, the Long Trail and Appalachian Trail are nearby. The surrounding area is chock full of country stores, farmer's markets, antique shops, general shopping and tourist activities.
